Do you enjoy helping others? Do you possess excellent customer service skills? Are you ready to join a dynamic team? If so, the City of Alcoa is accepting applications for the position of Cashier. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Smile and greet customers with a positive attitude
- Collect monies and process payments for utility bills, property taxes, and various permits
- Answer customer questions and assist with account maintenance
- Process permits and license applications
- Provide customer service in person and via telephone
Minimum qualifications include the following: Working knowledge of Microsoft software programs, ability to quickly make accurate mathematic computations, ability to effectively communicate with the public, ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment, and at least two (2) years of work experience in a similar position. Selected applicants will complete a computer skills assessment, background and credit check, pre-employment physical and drug screen. Scheduled work hours are Monday – Friday 7:45am – 4:45pm. Starting hourly pay is $13.19 (DOE).
