The City of Alcoa Police Department, a CALEA accredited agency, is accepting applications to develop a pool of qualified candidates for the position of Patrol Officer. Entry level applicants and current Tennessee POST Certified Patrol Officers who are experienced will be considered.
Minimum qualifications include U.S. citizenship; be at least 21 years of age; HS/GED; valid Driver’s License; no felony convictions; must pass physical exam, drug screen and psychological exam and be free of any mental disorders; must complete polygraph examination, willing to have fingerprints on file with TBI; honorable military discharge only; be of good moral character as demonstrated by background investigation by Police Dept.; and, if hired, must attend 12 weeks basic police certification training unless previously certified.
Excellent benefits package including TN Consolidated Retirement System and take home car program. Annual entry level salary starts at $36,007.56; TN POST Certified Officers start at $37,7830.44.
