Historical Facilities

The Alcoa Police Department has had three previous homes; the old Mule Barn on Hall Road in the 1940’s, the old Municipal Building in the 1960’s, and the Joule Street location from 1972 to 2001.

Current Facility

The present facility is a state of the art facility designed by the members of the police department. With approximately 20,000 square feet, it is 5 times larger than the Joule Street location.

Staffing

In 1972, the department employed 21 employees, today we have 49 working at the Wright Road location.
