Personal Accomplishments

Commissioner Tracey Cooper is a native of Blount County, having been raised in Alcoa.  She is the oldest of three children born to Larry and Sue Chambers.  She attended Alcoa City Schools K-12 and is a 1985 graduate of Alcoa High School.  Mrs. Cooper attended Hiwassee College and is semi-retired while continuing to work part-time.

She has been married to Bud Cooper since May 1988.   They enjoy community volunteer work including coaching Alcoa Junior Pro Basketball for five (5) years. For six years (6) she was an officer of the Alcoa Youth Sports Organization, which included the Alcoa Grasshopper, Pee Wee, and Midget football groups, and was also president of the Alcoa Lady Tornadoes volleyball organization.  She proudly and actively served as an officer for Alcoa High School Football Boosters for nine years.  She and Bud continue to support AHS football and the Alcoa Lady T and Men’s basketball teams.

Her greatest pride are her children, Victoria, and Kevin (Lane) and her Godson Adarian (AJ) Love.  She has three grandchildren Danica, Cameron, and Waylon.  

She has been in retail and retail management for 30 plus years, having worked for Calloway Oil Company/EZ Stop Food Mart for 20 years.  She currently works part-time as a Floating Manager at various locations.  Accomplishments include being named Manager of the Year, Store of the Year along with being a charter member of The Million Dollar Club.
