Outage Update - 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 31, 2017
Today much progress has been made in replacing broken poles and pulling up downed wire. Several areas with especially concentrated damage have been fully restored.
Updates on specific areas:
W. Hunt Rd / Northwood: All power has been restored with the exception of those homes that sustained damage to their homes and will require the assistance of an electrician.
Springbrook: With the completion of the Mills Street line, all power has been restored.
East Millers Cove: The main feed along E Millers Cove Rd has been repaired and service restored to most customers except for Loop Rd and a few side lines. The Loop Road is being fully reconstructed and much progress has been made today.
Ellejoy: The key three-phase pole on Ellejoy Road near Country Lane was replaced overnight. All power has been restored in the area.
Overlook area: All poles were replaced in the May Avenue section. All power has been restored in the area.
Rockford: All poles have been replaced at Calvert and Rockford Streets. All power has been restored to that area.
A few scattered outages remain system-wide. Our biggest challenge at this point is restoring service to our customers who had to be disconnected to accommodate repair to their homes.
Fewer than 250 customers remain without power.
