The City of Alcoa reports that Saturday night’s storm left 6,000 - 7,000 of its electric customers without power.
The system lost 14 breakers as a result of the storm that left dozens of trees on power lines. Crews worked through the night and have called in contract electric and tree crews to assist Alcoa crews.
The City apologizes for any inconvenience to its electric customers. Electric crews and contractors will be working around the clock until all power is restored.
