Road Closure at Singleton Station Road
The City of Alcoa Public Works and Engineering Department warns motorists and pedestrians of an upcoming road closure on Singleton Station Road off Topside Road. The road closure will start on Wednesday, February 19, to allow a contractor for CSX to repave a portion of the railroad crossing. The work is expected to last from February 19 to February 20, with the road closure ending on Friday, February 21.
There is a detour route in place during this road closure. All traffic will need to use Lakeview Road to enter either Topside Road or Singleton Station Road. There will be signage in the area showing the detour route. Local traffic will only be allowed into the closed section of the roadway.
The City of Alcoa advises motorists to allow additional travel time if using this route and to use extra caution when traveling through the area as workers will be present.
