[ARCHIVED] Alcoa Crash Victim Identified

The City of Alcoa Police Department released the name of the victim of Wednesday afternoon’s motor vehicle incident at Endless Tan on Louisville Road. Forty-one-year-old Matthew Clemens of Friendsville had a medical condition causing him to pass out and drive his 1998 Ford F150 through the front doors of the building. Both the City of Alcoa Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to the scene where the truck had completely entered the building causing severe damage. One person inside the building received minor injuries while a witness suffered minor injuries while rendering aid to the driver. All three were transported to Blount Memorial Hospital by Rural Metro Ambulance. Clemens was pronounced dead at the hospital as a result of his medical condition
