The City of Alcoa will make no adjustments to the collection of residential solid waste, residential recyclables, or commercial / industrial solid waste for the Christmas and New Year holidays. All routes will run on schedule. Residents are reminded to have garbage carts to the curb by 6:30 a.m.
Bulky waste collection will reflect its calendar and run one day early. Bulky and leaf collections will begin Monday, December 19, and go through Thursday, December 22. However, there will be no brush/bulky waste collection beginning on Friday, December 23 through Friday, December 30.
The Alcoa / Maryville / Blount County will be closed all day on Saturday, December 24, and Saturday, December 31, 2022. Aside from these two days, the Landfill will be open under normal operating hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.
