City of Alcoa Police Chief David Carswell announced today that a 23-year old Louisville man was killed in a vehicle crash on Louisville Road at the intersection of Marilyn Lane.
At 2:59 a.m. today, officers responded to the crash on Louisville Road at Marilyn Lane. An investigation revealed that the Louisville man was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on Louisville Road when he failed to negotiate a curve and struck a traffic signal support post. The 23-year-old man was the only occupant of the motorcycle.
The victim was wearing a Department of Transportation approved helmet. The investigation is continuing and name of the victim will be released pending notification of family members.
