City of Alcoa Police Chief David Carswell announced today that an Alcoa juvenile was charged with several burglaries in Springbrook Community.
City of Alcoa police officers responded at 05:30 a.m. Friday, January 29, to several reports of vehicle burglaries in the Springbrook Community. Upon arrival, officers interviewed witnesses who said they observed a male walking in the area with a backpack. Upon further investigation, detectives identified a seventeen-year-old Alcoa resident as the person who committed all the burglaries.

The seventeen-year-old juvenile was charged with several counts of burglary of vehicle and transported to the Blount County Juvenile Detention Center. Detective Parsons said, “We are extremely happy we have someone in custody and we encourage all our residents to lock their vehicles and take valuables inside”.
