During the weeks of Christmas and New Year holidays the following adjustments will be made for residents and commercial customers in the City of Alcoa.
Residential and bulky waste collections normally scheduled for Tuesday, December 25 will be collected on Wednesday, December 26. Residential garbage collections normally scheduled for Tuesday, January 1 will be collected Wednesday, January 3, 2019. For the week of New Year holiday, brush will be picked up Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
There will be no commercial pickups on Tuesday, December 25 or Tuesday, January 1, 2019.
Recycling scheduled for Wednesday, Dec 26 will be collected on Thursday, Dec 27.
Recycling scheduled for Friday, Dec 28 will be collected on Saturday, Dec 29.
The Alcoa / Maryville / Blount County Landfill will be closed on Tuesday, December 25 andTuesday, January 1. All other business days will maintain regular operating hours of 8:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Please call 995-2892 or 995-2998 for questions concerning the Landfill operations.
