The City of Alcoa advises motorists on upcoming lane closures along East Lincoln Road for water line replacement work that will begin on Thursday, August 29, 2024. The work is located in the westbound lane between South Hall Road and North Wright Road.
The duration of the project is expected to last approximately one month. As the work progresses from west to east, portions of the westbound lane will be temporarily closed, and a portable traffic light will be used to control traffic movement, resulting in temporary stoppages and possible lane shifts into the eastbound lane.
Motorists should take extra caution as workers will be present and allow additional time to reach their destination when traveling through this location. Motorists are also advised to seek alternate routes through this area until work at the intersection is complete.
